An AI meeting assistant that turns your notes into tasks

Short answer: Alori has an AI meeting assistant built into your CRM. Hold a video meeting in Alori with Record on, and when it ends you get the video, a full transcript and a short summary with next steps. Click Create the task beside a next step to put it on your team's list, and ask questions about the meeting later. Recordings from Zoom, Teams or Meet can be imported too.

The problem: good meetings, lost follow-ups

You leave a client meeting with five things to do. Two make it into a notebook, one into an email, and the rest are gone by Friday. A separate AI notetaker helps, but its notes sit in yet another app, far from the client's record and your task list. Someone still has to copy the next steps over.

The useful version is simple: the notes land on the client, and the next steps become tasks with one click.

How it works in Alori

1. Start or plan the meeting. On the Schedule, open Meetings and click New meeting. Add guests (teammates, clients or any email), pick Now or a time, and keep Alori video. Guests join from their browser, with no account. A visit or event on the Schedule can be a video call too.

2. Keep Record on. It is on to start. Guests see that the meeting is recorded, transcribed and summarized by AI, and agree by joining.

3. End the meeting. Click End. The meeting shows Summary on its way, then Summary ready. Whoever made the meeting also gets the summary by email, with the transcript attached.

4. Turn next steps into tasks. Open the meeting from the Past tab. The Summary comes first, written by Alori. Click Create the task beside a next step to make it a task, then assign it and set a due date in Tasks.

5. Ask about the meeting. Under Ask about this meeting, tap What are the next steps?, What did we decide? or Write a follow-up email, or type your own question. Alori answers from what was said.

6. Find it later. Ask Alori in your team app: "What did we talk about with the Gagnons last week?"

Meetings held somewhere else

Not every meeting happens in Alori video.

  • Google Meet or Zoom in Chrome. Add the Alori Recorder extension to Chrome and connect it once. When you join a call, click Share, and the call lands in Meetings with its transcript, summary and next steps. It works on Google Meet and Zoom's web version, not Zoom's desktop app.
  • In person. Tap Record meeting on your phone or computer, set it on the table, then tap Stop and get notes. Start it from a client's page to link the notes to them.
  • Anything else. Open Meetings and click Import to bring in a recording or a transcript from Zoom, Teams, Meet or your phone (.mp4, .m4a, .vtt, .srt, .txt or .docx), or paste the text. Link it to the client, and Alori writes the summary and next steps like for a recorded meeting. You can ask questions about it the same way.

Phone calls on your business number can be recorded too, with a transcript and summary on the client's record.

Who it is for

Teams that run on client meetings: consulting firms, marketing agencies and software dev shops. Trades use it for virtual visits before a quote. See the meetings app and the tasks app for more.

What you need

  • An Alori app with Meetings and Tasks.
  • Credits: the notes use credits, and videos are stored like any file. See pricing.
  • Google Calendar connected if you want meetings on your calendar and Google to send the invitations.

FAQ

What does the AI meeting assistant write? A full transcript and a short summary with next steps. You can also ask it questions about the meeting, like "What did we decide?", or have it write a follow-up email.

Can I turn meeting notes into tasks automatically? You stay in control: each next step in the summary has a Create the task button. One click makes the task, then you assign it and pick a due date.

Does it work with Zoom, Teams or Google Meet? Yes. With the Alori Recorder extension for Chrome, Google Meet and Zoom calls in the browser are recorded and land in Meetings with their notes. For Teams or Zoom's desktop app, import the recording or the transcript, and Alori writes the summary and next steps the same way. A recording can be up to 4 hours.

Do guests need an Alori account? No. Guests join in their browser from the link. They are told the meeting is recorded and summarized before they join.
