Simple compliance management software for small teams
Short answer: If you run audits or keep clients on top of yearly, quarterly and monthly obligations, Alori gives you lightweight compliance management software inside your all-in-one app. Each audit or client engagement is a project with its own checklist of tasks. Every deadline is a task that repeats on its own. Reminders reach the right person by notification, text or Slack. Alori is not a full governance, risk and compliance (GRC) platform: it keeps the work moving, it does not replace a control framework tool.
The problem: deadlines in a spreadsheet nobody opens
Small firms often track compliance work in a spreadsheet: one tab per client, one column per deadline, colors that mean "late". It works until someone goes on vacation, a client adds a new requirement, or a filing date comes around again next year and nobody set it up.
What a small team needs is a compliance calendar that repeats by itself, a checklist per engagement, and clear owners. Big GRC suites do that and much more, at a price and setup effort that rarely fit a team of five.
How it works in Alori
1. One project per audit or engagement. In Tasks, click Projects, then New project. Pick the client, or Internal project for your own obligations like safety training. Give it a name, a lead and a target date. Alori suggests a list of tasks from the name; keep the ones you want and add your own.
2. A checklist inside each task. Open a task to add a description and subtasks, like the documents to review or the controls to test. Progress on the project shows how many tasks are done. Link a quote, job or invoice to the project to keep its money next to the work.
3. Deadlines that repeat. Open a task and pick Every week, Every month or Every year in Repeats. When it is marked done, Alori creates the next one with its new due date, keeping the title, assignee, client, project and labels, with subtasks unticked. Need every 3 months? Ask Alori: "make the quarterly review repeat every 3 months".
4. Clear owners. Assign each task. The teammate gets a notice and clicks Accept, or Can't do it with a reason and another date. Nothing sits with nobody.
5. See what is late. The task Board shows To do, Waiting, In progress and Done, with late dates highlighted. Filter by assignee, priority or project. Everyone gets a notice for tasks due today.
6. Reminders you describe. Ask your bot for an automation in plain words, like "Every Friday, send me a summary of the week" or a reminder at a set time. It can text you, email you, or post in Slack or Discord.

FAQ
Is Alori a GRC platform? No. Alori tracks the work: projects, checklists, repeating deadlines, owners and reminders. It does not include control frameworks, risk registers or policy attestations.
Can I build a compliance calendar in Alori? Yes. Make each deadline a task with a due date and pick how often it repeats. The board and the My tasks list group what is late, due today and due this week.
Can clients upload documents for an audit? Not yet. Document requests are coming soon. Today, clients can email you, and the email lands in their thread in your shared inbox.
Can each audit follow the same checklist? Yes. When you name a project, Alori suggests tasks, and you keep or add your own. You can also ask Ask Alori to start the project and add the tasks you list, so each audit starts from the same checklist.
