Consulting software for small consulting and accounting firms
Short answer: Consulting software keeps a firm's clients, meetings, deadlines and invoices in one place. Alori is the all-in-one app for service businesses, and small consulting and accounting firms use it to win clients, record meetings, run recurring work for each client and get paid, in one app you change by asking.
Who works in consulting and accounting
This page is for small professional firms, from a solo practitioner to a team of 30:
- Management consultants selling projects and advisory work
- Accounting firms handling month-end, year-end and advisory for small businesses
- Tax preparers with a rush every spring
- Bookkeepers who close the books for the same clients every month
Their work is recurring and deadline driven. The same client comes back every month or every year, and the firm lives or dies by not missing a date. Most of the selling happens in meetings, and most of the work starts with an email.
The tool stack firms juggle
A small firm usually runs on:
- Outlook or Gmail, with client threads spread across each person's inbox
- A spreadsheet or a practice tool to track deadlines per client
- Zoom or Teams, plus notes in a notebook
- A scheduling link for client calls
- An invoicing tool and QuickBooks Online
- A CRM, or no CRM at all, for new business
Nobody sees the whole client. A partner promises something in a meeting, and it lives in their notes. A monthly task gets forgotten when someone is away. Alori keeps the client, the conversations, the meetings and the recurring work on one record the whole team shares.

The apps that matter for a firm
- Customers and companies: one record per client company, with its contacts, notes and history.
- Deals: a pipeline for new engagements, with your own stages and the value of each deal.
- Tasks and projects: tasks that repeat every week, month or year (month-end close, quarterly filings, annual renewals), a board view, and a project per engagement with the tasks Alori suggests. Alori also adds a task when something tends to slip, like a quote with no answer.
- Meetings: video meetings in the browser, recorded, with a transcript, a summary and questions you can ask about what was said.
- Booking: links for client calls, with hours, days off, reminders and an option to approve each request yourself. It syncs with Google or Outlook calendars.
- Quotes and invoices: quotes signed online, invoices with a pay by card link, automatic reminders for unpaid invoices, and customers and invoices synced both ways with QuickBooks Online.
- Email campaigns: a newsletter or a tax season reminder to a list of clients, with open and click results. See email campaigns.
- Conversations and Gmail: a shared inbox for email and texts, email templates and signatures, and Alori drafting your replies in Gmail.

FAQ
Is Alori professional services automation software? Partly. Alori covers the client side of a firm: clients, deals, meetings, recurring tasks, projects, quotes, invoices and payments. Billable time that fills invoices, retainers, utilization reports and a client portal are not built yet; they are coming soon.
Can clients send me their documents through Alori? Not yet. Document requests are coming soon. Today, documents arrive by email in the client's thread.
Does Alori replace my accounting software? No. Alori syncs customers and invoices with QuickBooks Online, and your books stay in QuickBooks.
Can I keep using Gmail? Yes. Connect Gmail, and emails to clients leave from your own address. Your personal email page in Alori shows your Gmail, and you share a thread with the team in one click.
