Review requests after every job, without separate review management software
Short answer: Most review management software starts with one simple habit: asking every happy customer for a Google review right after the job. In Alori, you set that up as an automation, in plain words: "When a job becomes done, text the customer a thank-you with our Google review link." Your bot builds it, shows you the exact message, and sends it only after your yes. Prefer a personal touch? Have it add a task for someone on the team to ask instead.
The problem: everyone means to ask, nobody does
Reviews win the next job. A customer who got their heat back on a cold night is happy to leave five stars, if someone asks that evening. A week later, the moment is gone. The tech forgets, the office is busy, and the review request never goes out.
Dedicated review tools solve this with another subscription and another customer list to keep in sync. If your jobs already live in Alori, the trigger is already there: the moment a job is marked done.
How it works in Alori
1. Get your review link. Copy the link customers use to review you on Google (or any site you prefer).
2. Tell your bot what to do. Open Bots and your bot, and write the automation the way you would tell an assistant:
- "When a job becomes done, text the customer: Thanks for choosing us today! If we did a good job, a quick Google review helps a lot: [your link]"
- "When a job becomes done, add a task to ask the customer for a review."
- "When an invoice becomes paid, email the customer a thank-you with our review link."
3. Check the card. The bot answers with a card: the automation's name, when it runs ("When a job" changes status), what it does (Text, Email or Task), an on/off switch and Test it. Because the message goes to customers, the bot shows you the exact words and waits for your yes.
4. Test it. Click Test it. It runs once on your newest matching record, and the message comes to you, marked as a test, never to the customer.
5. Let it run. From then on, each job that turns Done sets it off. Pause it with its switch, change it by asking the bot, or open it to see Recent runs.
Make it fit your business
Automations accept conditions and steps, so you can shape the request:
- Wait before asking. Add a Wait step so the text goes out a few hours after the job, not while the tech is still in the driveway.
- Only for some jobs. Add a condition, like an amount over a certain value.
- Text or email. Use the channel each customer answers best.
- A person asks instead. A task lands on the tech's or the office's list, linked to the customer.
After a conversation: the satisfaction survey
If your app has Front desk, a second way is already on. Open Front desk › Satisfaction and paste your Google review link. After you close a conversation with a customer, Alori emails them a one-click survey (stars, faces, 0 to 10 or thumbs). A happy answer shows Leave a review with your link. A low one creates a Call back task for the teammate who closed the conversation, so an unhappy customer hears from you before they write a bad review. Website chats ask for stars right in the chat bubble.
What Alori does and does not do
| Alori | Full review management platform | |
|---|---|---|
| Ask after each job | Yes, with an automation you describe | Yes |
| Text or email the request | Yes, from your business number or email | Yes |
| Satisfaction survey that sends happy customers to Google | Yes, after a closed conversation | Often |
| Monitor and reply to reviews on Google | No | Usually |
| Review widgets for your website | No | Often |
If you need review monitoring across many sites, keep that tool. If what you really need is to ask every customer at the right moment, Alori covers it inside the app where your jobs already are.
Who it is for
Local service businesses that live on Google reviews: cleaning companies, landscapers, HVAC companies and auto repair shops. Your jobs need to be tracked in the jobs app so the automation knows when one is done.
What you need
- An Alori app with Jobs, and a customer phone or email on each job.
- A business number for texts (email works without one).
- Credits: texts and AI steps use credits. See pricing.
FAQ
Is Alori review management software? Alori handles the part that brings in reviews: asking every customer at the right moment, by text or email, set up as an automation, plus a satisfaction survey that sends happy customers to your Google review link. It does not monitor or reply to reviews on Google.
Will the review request go out without my approval? No. When you set up an automation that messages customers, the bot shows you the exact words and waits for your yes. After that, it runs on its own each time a job is done, until you pause it.
Can I test the review text first? Yes. Click Test it on the automation's card. The test runs on your newest job and sends the message to you, marked as a test, never to the customer.
Can I ask only after paid invoices instead of finished jobs? Yes. An automation can start when an invoice becomes paid, or any other status change you name.
