alori

Pool service software for small companies

Short answer: Alori is the all-in-one app for pool service companies that want the schedule, the visits and the billing in one place. As pool service software, it gives you a schedule by technician, a phone view of each tech's stops for the day, photos and checklists on every visit, quotes for service plans signed online, and invoices paid by card with automatic reminders. You describe your company, then change the app by asking in plain words.

A week in a pool service company

Opening season is a rush: a hundred openings in three weeks, then weekly cleanings all summer, then closings in the fall. The owner keeps the week's stops in a spreadsheet, texts each tech their list in the morning, and gets photos back in a group chat. Customers ask "did you come today?", and the answer is in someone's camera roll. Invoices go out at month end, and the late ones get chased by hand.

The usual stack:

  • A spreadsheet or a whiteboard for who goes where
  • Group texts for the daily list and the photos
  • A quote template for openings, closings and plans
  • Accounting software for invoices

What Alori gives a pool service company

A schedule by technician. Plan visits on the calendar, pick who goes, and see each tech's column in Day view. Drag a stop to another tech when someone is off. Each person shows Free, Already booked or On leave. See Schedule.

Each tech's day on their phone. The tech opens the app and sees "6 stops today", the current stop in big, and the next stops in order with Directions and Call. Each job has the address, the gate code and the customer's notes. One button moves the visit: On the way, Start, Finish. See Jobs.

Every morning's list, sent for you. Ask your bot: "Every morning, text each technician their jobs for the day." It sets up the automation and turns it on.

Photos and a checklist on every visit. Add the visit steps (skim, brush, vacuum, test water, empty baskets) and techs tick them on site. Before and after photos go on the job, with the date and time. When a customer asks, the proof is on the job.

Service plans on the quote. Put your weekly service on a quote as a monthly line, next to the one-time opening. The customer signs online.

Weekly visits, without retyping. Make a task that repeats every week per route or customer, so nothing falls off the list when you plan the next week. Ask Ask Alori to schedule the visits: "Schedule the Tremblay pool cleaning Tuesday at 9 with Julie".

Invoices, card payments and reminders. Invoice from finished jobs, or make an invoice without a job for a monthly service. The customer pays by card from the email. Unpaid invoice reminders go out by email or text until it is paid.

Booking reminders. For openings and closings booked online, reminders go out by email before the visit.

What is coming soon

Auto-billed service plans, where the monthly plan bills itself, are not built yet. Today, the plan sits on the signed quote and you invoice it each month, with unpaid reminders running on their own.

How to start

  1. Describe your company. For example: "pool service, 4 techs, weekly cleanings, openings in spring and closings in fall".
  2. Import your customers. Paste your customer list into Ask Alori, with addresses and gate codes in any order.
  3. Invite your team. Each tech gets an invitation email and their own login. Every plan has unlimited users. See pricing.

FAQ

Does Alori optimize my routes? No. Alori shows each tech's stops in order with directions, but it does not plan the fastest route for you.

Do I still have to text each tech their list? No. Ask your bot once, "every morning, text each technician their jobs for the day", and it sends the list for you.

Can customers see photos of the visit? Photos live on the job in your app. You can attach photos to a text or an email to the customer from their thread.

Can customers pay by card? Yes. Each emailed invoice has a pay by card link through Stripe. Card payments are in Canadian dollars for now.
