alori

IT asset management software that lives next to your clients

Short answer: Alori does not have a device and license inventory yet. What it has today covers much of the work around one: client accounts with your own fields for renewal dates, renewal tasks that repeat, tickets with response times per priority, and invoices, all on the same client records.

The problem: the inventory lives in a spreadsheet

Ask most small IT providers where the client's laptops, firewalls and licenses are listed, and the answer is a spreadsheet. Sometimes one per client. Sometimes one per technician.

That causes real costs:

  • Missed renewals. A license or warranty expires, and you hear about it from the client.
  • Slow answers. A technician on a call has to find the right file before they can help.
  • Billing gaps. The number of seats in the contract drifts away from the number of devices you support.
  • Retyping. The same client lives in the PSA, the RMM, the accounting tool and the spreadsheet.

Dedicated IT asset management software solves the inventory, but it adds one more tool with one more client list.

What you can do in Alori today

These live parts of Alori cover a lot of the daily work:

  • Tickets per client. File a ticket for a client's problem or request. It gets a number, an assignee and a status, and each team sets a response time per priority: a client's ticket past its time turns red. You can ask Alori to add a field, like the device model, to tickets. See ticket SLA tracking.
  • Client accounts. Companies hold their people and deals, and each contact person has a role, phone and email. See customers.
  • Extra fields. Ask Alori to add fields to your records, then fill them in, for example a "Microsoft 365 renewal date" on each company.
  • Renewal reminders. Make a task repeat every month or every year. When you mark it done, the next one is created with its new due date. See tasks.
  • Projects per client. Group the tasks of an onboarding or a migration in a project, with a lead, a target date and progress.
  • Contract amounts. Add products to a deal with how often each line is billed, and Alori adds up the monthly amount (MRR), the yearly amount (ARR) and the first year.
  • Invoices and card payments. Every invoice you email has a Pay by card link, and unpaid invoices can get up to 3 automatic reminders. See invoices.
  • A business phone and shared inbox. Calls, texts and emails from each client land in one thread, with a phone menu, business hours and voicemail transcripts.

What it does not do

  • There is no list of devices and software licenses per client, and no per-seat billing from an inventory.
  • Alori does not monitor or patch devices.

Who it is for

  • Managed service providers who look after many small clients. See Alori for MSPs.
  • Cybersecurity consultants who track systems and renewals per client. See Alori for cybersecurity consultants.
  • Any business that maintains equipment for clients and needs renewal dates to stop slipping.
