What’s in your app.

Alori starts from ready-made modules, then shapes them to the way you work. Add or remove one any time by asking.

  • Customers

Clients, pipeline and every email on one file

  • Quotes

    Proposals accepted and signed online

  • Meetings

    Client meetings recorded, with notes

  • Tasks

Check-ins that repeat every month or year

Proposals that come back signed.

Send your proposal as a quote with its lines and prices. The client signs online, you get an email, and Alori can follow up when a quote waits too long.

  • Requests from your website land on your pipeline on their own.
  • Clients book a discovery call from your link, with reminders.
  • Invoices go out with a link to pay by card.

Every client meeting, with its notes.

Record a video meeting in Alori or an in person meeting on your phone. Alori writes the transcript and a summary, and you can ask questions about it later.

  • Meetings stay private to you until you share them.
  • Click a next step to make it a task.
  • Emails, texts and calls with the client sit in one thread.

Change it by asking.

Your app isn’t frozen on day one. Write what you need, the way you’d text it. Alori makes the change and shows you before anything goes live.

  • Add a field for each client's number of employees
  • Make a quarterly check-in task for every active client
  • Show me proposals sent more than 7 days ago
  • Make a booking link for 30-minute discovery calls

The full guide

Everything above, in detail: how it works, what it replaces and what it does not.

A CRM for HR consultants who sell, advise and follow up alone

Short answer: Alori is the all-in-one app for independent HR consultants and small HR practices. It works as a CRM for HR consultants: new clients move through a pipeline, proposals go out as quotes the client signs online, client meetings are recorded with notes, check-ins repeat on their own and invoices get paid by card. You set it up by describing your practice, then change it by asking in plain words.

A week in an independent HR practice

A business owner calls because a manager quit badly and they need a policy fixed by Friday. Another client wants a handbook review. A third is hiring their first ten people and needs a pay structure. You take notes on the call, then write a proposal in Word, email it, and wait. Some weeks later you wonder if they ever signed.

Most solo HR consultants and practices of 2 to 10 people juggle the same stack:

  • A spreadsheet or a notebook to track who might hire you
  • Word or Google Docs for proposals, and email to send them
  • A scheduling link from one tool and a video call from another
  • Meeting notes in a notebook, so next steps live in your head
  • A calendar reminder for each client check-in, and another app for invoices

Each tool works on its own. The cost is the retyping, and the client you meant to check in with in March who now has a new HR problem and called someone else.

What Alori gives an HR consultant

A client pipeline. Every new request becomes a deal on a board, at stages you name, like Discovery call, Proposal sent, Signed and Active. Requests from your Alori website land there on their own. Forms on another site can send leads in too, through a lead link or a lead email. See deals.

Discovery calls booked online. Share a booking link for a 30 minute discovery call. The client picks an open time, both sides get an email, and reminders go out before the meeting. Put the booking page on your website.

Proposals signed online, as quotes. Send your proposal as a quote with its lines and prices, like a handbook review or a monthly advisory block. The client opens the link, types their name, signs with a finger or mouse and clicks Accept and sign. Alori can follow up on its own when a quote waits too long. See quotes.

Client meetings recorded, with notes. Hold a video meeting in Alori and keep Record on, or record an in person meeting on your phone. When it ends, Alori writes the transcript and a short summary with next steps, and you can ask questions about what was said. Meetings are private to you until you share them. See meetings.

Repeating client check-ins. Add a task for each check-in, like a quarterly policy review, and set it to repeat every week, month or year. When you mark it done, the next one appears with its new due date. Group the work for one client in a project with its tasks.

Every email, call and text on the client's file. Emails, texts and calls with each client land in one thread in the shared inbox. Notes for your team stay on the file and the client never sees them.

Invoices paid by card. Make an invoice for a fixed fee, email it with a link to pay by card, and it turns Paid by itself. Unpaid invoice reminders can go out on the schedule you pick.

Unlimited users. If you bring on an associate, they get their own login at no extra cost. See pricing.

What Alori is not

Alori runs your own practice: clients, proposals, meetings, follow up and billing. It does not run your clients' HR:

  • Not an HR system for your clients' employees. Alori's Employees app is for your own team. Your clients keep their own payroll and HR tools.
  • No billable hours on invoices yet. Time tracking to invoice and retainers are coming soon. See time and billing. Today, bill fixed fees or set amounts.
  • No client portal yet. Clients get emails, signing links and payment links, not a login of their own.

You stay responsible for the confidentiality of what clients tell you, including what you record and who you share it with.

How to start

  1. Describe your practice. Type a few words, like "independent HR consultant, small business clients, policies, hiring and handbooks". Alori builds your app with the tools that fit.
  2. Import your clients. Paste a client list from a spreadsheet or an email into Ask Alori and it adds them. If you use HubSpot, you can move your records over.
  3. Invite your team. An associate or an assistant gets an invitation email and their own login.

Questions

Another question? Ask it when you start.

For running your own practice, yes: pipeline, discovery calls, signed proposals, recorded meetings, repeating check-ins and invoices sit in one app. It is not an HR system for your clients' staff.

Yes. Send it as a quote. The client opens the link, types their name, signs and clicks Accept and sign, and you get an email.

Meetings are private to you until you share them with your team or chosen teammates. Tell clients when you record a meeting.

Not with tracked hours yet. Time tracking to invoice and retainers are coming soon. Today, bill fixed fees or set amounts from Invoices, and clients pay by card through Stripe. Card payments are in Canadian dollars for now.
