- Give each practice area its own booking link and hours.
- New emails and texts land in one shared inbox the whole team can see.
- Move each matter from intake to closing on a board, like a deal.

- Ask "what did we tell the Lee family about the power of attorney?" and get the answer.
- Alori drafts your replies; you read, edit and send.

- Add a matter type field: immigration, family, real estate, estate

Everything above, in detail: how it works, what it replaces and what it does not.
Law firm software for small firms that live on intake and follow up
Short answer: Alori is the all-in-one app for small law firms that want intake, client messages, consultations, deadlines and billing in one place. It works as law firm software for the client side of the practice: a website request or a call becomes a matter, every call, email and text lands on the client's file, and engagement letters are accepted and signed online. You set it up by describing your firm, then change it by asking in plain words.
A week in a small law firm
A new client calls about a work permit, a separation or a closing. Someone writes the details on a pad, then retypes them into a spreadsheet. Another prospect fills in the website form, and the email sits in one lawyer's inbox. Consultations are booked by phone tag. After a meeting, the notes stay in a notebook, and the next steps live in someone's head.
Most firms of 2 to 30 people juggle the same stack:
- A website form that sends emails nobody tracks
- Personal inboxes and cell phones, so the file never shows the whole story
- A separate scheduling tool for consultations
- A spreadsheet or a task app for filing deadlines
- Word for engagement letters, and another app for invoices
Each tool works on its own. The cost is the retyping between them, and the client who calls to ask "any news?" because nobody told them.
What Alori gives a law firm
Client intake into a matter. Requests from your Alori website land on your intake board on their own. Forms on another site can send leads in too, through a lead link or a lead email. Each one shows up as a new matter at the first stage, like Consultation booked, Retained or Closed. A walk in or a phone call takes a few seconds: add it yourself, or tell Ask Alori "new matter for Sofia Reyes, spousal sponsorship".
Consultations booked online. Each lawyer shares a booking link per kind of meeting, like a 30 minute immigration consultation. Clients pick an open time, both sides get an email, and reminders go out before the meeting. Put the booking page on your website. See online booking.
Every call, email and text on the client's file. Emails, texts and website chats with each client land in one thread in the shared inbox. Calls made from the app are logged on the client's file on their own, with the recording and a summary when there is one. Notes for the team stay on the file and the client never sees them.
Meetings recorded, with notes. Hold a video meeting in Alori and keep Record on, or record an in person meeting on your phone. When it ends, Alori writes the transcript and a short summary with next steps. Click a next step to make it a task. See meeting notes to tasks.
Repeating deadline tasks. Add a task for each filing or renewal, with the steps as subtasks, and set it to repeat every week, month or year. When you mark it done, the next one appears with its new due date. The task board shows who is late at a glance.
Engagement letters signed online. Send your fee agreement as a quote with its lines and prices. The client opens the link, types their name, signs with a finger or mouse and clicks Accept and sign. You get an email, and a note lands on the client's file.
Invoices paid by card. Every invoice you email has a link to pay by card, and it turns Paid by itself. Unpaid invoice reminders can go out on the schedule you pick.
Tickets to keep clients posted. Track each piece of work as a ticket with its steps. Add the client to the ticket, and Alori emails them when it moves to in progress or done.
Unlimited users. Every plan includes unlimited users, so clerks and assistants get their own login. See pricing.
What Alori is not
Alori runs the client side of your practice. It is not a full legal practice management system, and it does not do these things:
- No trust (IOLTA) accounting. Keep client funds in your trust accounting tool.
- No conflict checks. Search your customers by name, but there is no conflict check feature.
- No court rules calendaring. Deadlines are tasks you set yourself; Alori does not compute them from court rules.
- No billable hours to invoice yet. Time tracking to invoice is coming soon. See time and billing.
- Not a document management system. Keep your files and versions in your document tool.
Your firm stays responsible for its own confidentiality and professional rules, including what you record and where you keep it.
How to start
- Describe your firm. Type a few words, like "immigration law firm, 5 people, consultations, permits and sponsorships". Alori builds your app with the tools that fit.
- Import your clients. Paste a client list from a spreadsheet or an email into Ask Alori and it adds them. Tasks come in from an Excel or CSV file. If you use HubSpot, you can move your records over.
- Invite your team. Each person gets an invitation email and their own login.
| Firm task | Where it lives in Alori |

Questions
Another question? Ask it when you start.
For the client side, yes: intake, consultations, messages, meetings, deadlines, signed engagement letters and invoices. It does not do trust accounting, conflict checks, court rules calendaring or document management, so many firms keep a tool for those.
Yes. Share a booking link or put the booking page on your website. Clients pick an open time, and reminders go out before the meeting.
Not yet. Time tracking to invoice is coming soon. Today, bill flat fees or a set amount from Invoices, and clients pay by card through Stripe. Card payments are in Canadian dollars for now.
Notes on a file stay inside your team, and roles decide who sees customers. Your firm stays responsible for its own confidentiality rules, like telling clients a meeting is recorded.
