General contractor software that follows a job from the first call to the last invoice
Short answer: Alori is the all-in-one app for service businesses, and for a general contractor it keeps leads, quotes, projects, subcontractors, job photos and invoices in one place. Customers sign quotes online, and every task on a project has an owner and a date. It is general contractor software for small builders and renovation companies, not a large construction management suite.
A day for a general contractor, and the tools it takes
You start on a site at 7, walk a kitchen at 10, chase a drywall sub at noon and write a quote in the truck. At night you build the estimate again on the computer, email it, and try to remember which client said yes.
Most small contractors juggle:
- An estimating spreadsheet or a quote template in a word processor
- Email and texts with clients, subs and suppliers
- A whiteboard or a notes app for the schedule
- Photos spread across three phones
- QuickBooks or a bookkeeper for invoices
Every handoff means retyping: the lead into the quote, the quote into the schedule, the schedule into the invoice.
What Alori gives a general contractor
A lead pipeline. New requests from your website land as leads at the first stage. You can also send leads from Zapier, a Google Ads lead form or your form tool. Drag each deal from first call to site visit to won, and make a second pipeline for service calls if you need one.
Quotes signed online. Build quotes from your price list, preview them, and email them. The client opens a link, signs with a finger or mouse, and the quote turns Accepted. Turn on quote follow-up and Alori sends one reminder when a quote sits with no answer. See construction estimating and quotes.
Projects and tasks. A project groups the tasks and jobs of one renovation, with a lead, a target date and progress. Alori suggests tasks when you name the project. Link the project's jobs, quotes and invoices so the money sits with the work. See tasks.
Subcontractors as companies. Add each sub as a company with its people, notes and history. Message them from the same inbox as your clients.
Jobs with photos. Each job has a checklist and a photo box. Your crew adds before and after photos from their phone, and the job moves from scheduled to done with one button. See jobs.
Crew hours from the job. Put your crew on a job. When it starts, their clocks start; when it is finished, they stop. The owner sees the labour cost and the margin on the job, and you export the week's hours for payroll. See employees.
Invoices and card payments. Invoice a finished job in one click, or make an invoice without a job for a deposit request. Each emailed invoice has a card payment link, and unpaid invoices get automatic reminders. QuickBooks Online sync keeps customers and invoices the same in both places.
Unlimited users. Every plan has unlimited users, so foremen and office staff all log in at no extra cost.
What Alori does not do yet
Change orders and progress billing are coming soon. Today you can send a new quote for added work, and make invoices without a job for each draw. Alori is not a takeoff or plan-reading tool, and it has no bid management for large commercial work.
| Today in Alori | Coming soon | |
|---|---|---|
| Extra work | A new quote, signed online | Change orders |
| Billing in stages | Several invoices, each with a card link | Progress billing |
How to start
- Describe your business. Tell Alori what you build, how big your crew is and how a job runs. It builds the app around that.
- Import your clients and subs. Paste a list into Ask Alori, or move from HubSpot if that is where your contacts are.
- Invite the team. Add your foremen and office staff on the Users page, then send your first quote.

FAQ
Is Alori construction management software? For small builders and renovation companies, it covers the daily work: leads, quotes, projects, tasks, jobs, photos and invoices. It does not do takeoffs, plan reading, bid management or change orders yet.
Can clients sign quotes online? Yes. The client opens the link in the email, types their name, signs and clicks Accept and sign. You get an email, and the quote is ready to schedule as a job.
Can I keep subcontractors separate from clients? Yes. Add subs as companies with their people. Tags help you sort them by trade.
Does Alori work with QuickBooks? Yes. Connect QuickBooks Online once, and customers, companies and invoices stay in sync. Paid status comes from QuickBooks.
