alori

Freight broker software for shippers, carriers and every quote request

Short answer: Alori is the all-in-one app for service businesses, and for a freight broker it is the sales and follow-up side: shipper and carrier accounts, quote requests as deals, quotes, calls, texts and tasks. It is freight broker software for winning and keeping shippers, not a TMS: there is no load board, no load tracking and no carrier compliance checks. Keep your TMS for those.

A day at a small brokerage, and the tools it takes

A shipper emails a rate request at 7:30. You call three carriers, text a driver, and send a price back before lunch. By the afternoon, two more requests came in by phone, and one shipper you quoted last week has not answered.

Most small brokerages juggle:

  • A TMS or load board for loads and carriers
  • Email and phone for rate requests
  • Texts with drivers and dispatchers on personal phones
  • A spreadsheet of shippers and lanes
  • Sticky notes for who to call back

The loads are tracked. The sales are not. Quotes go out and nobody follows up.

What Alori gives a freight broker

Shipper and carrier accounts. Add each shipper and each carrier as a company with its people: the logistics manager, the dispatcher, accounts payable. Use tags to sort them, like "reefer", "flatbed" or "Ontario lanes". See customers.

Quote requests as deals. Each rate request becomes a deal on your board. Make a pipeline with your own stages, like requested, priced, sent, booked. Leads from your website, Zapier or a Google Ads lead form land at the first stage.

Quotes signed online. Build a quote from your price list, email it, and the shipper accepts and signs online. Turn on quote follow-up and Alori sends one reminder when a quote sits with no answer. See quotes.

Calls and texts from your business number. Get a business number or bring yours. Call from your computer and the shipper sees your business number. Text drivers and dispatchers from the same number, and every reply comes back to the shared inbox. Calls can be recorded, and voicemails are written out for you. See calls.

Tasks that do not slip. Add a task for each callback, assign it, and give it a date. Alori also makes a task by itself for a quote with no answer. See tasks.

Invoices. Make an invoice without a job, email it with a card payment link, and let Alori remind late payers. QuickBooks Online sync keeps customers and invoices the same in both places.

How to start

  1. Describe your business. Tell Alori what you haul, who your shippers are and how a quote request reaches you. It builds the app around that.
  2. Import your accounts. Paste a list of shippers and carriers into Ask Alori, or move from HubSpot.
  3. Invite the team. Add your brokers and dispatch on the Users page. Every plan has unlimited users.

See plans and pricing. There is a free plan, no card needed. Want to see how others use Alori for client follow-up? Read client management.

FAQ

Is Alori a TMS? No. Alori has no load board, load tracking or carrier compliance. It covers the sales side: accounts, rate requests, quotes, calls, texts and follow-up tasks. Most brokers keep their TMS and use Alori next to it.

Can I track shippers and carriers separately? Yes. Add both as companies, and use tags or separate pipelines to keep them apart.

Can I call and text from Alori? Yes. You get a business number, or you bring your current one. Calls go out from your computer or your cell, and texts and replies land in the shared inbox.

Does Alori follow up on quotes? Yes. Turn on quote follow-up and pick the number of days. A sent quote with no answer gets one reminder with its accept link.
