Claap alternative: record the call where the deal already lives
Short answer: Claap is an AI meeting recorder for sales and customer teams. It records Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls, fills HubSpot or Salesforce from what was said, scores calls for coaching, and lets your team send screen recordings instead of booking a meeting. If you want a Claap alternative because you run a small service business, Alori is the all-in-one app for service businesses. Its Meetings app records your Google Meet and Zoom calls in Chrome, its own video meetings and meetings in person, then files the summary and next steps on the customer and the deal, next to quotes and invoices. Your Claap recordings come over with an import.
Who Claap fits well
Claap is built for sales and customer success teams, and it is good at that job. It fits when:
- Your reps meet prospects on Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, and you want each call recorded without a bot, or with a visible one.
- Your team works in HubSpot or Salesforce and wants the fields filled in from the call.
- Managers coach reps with scorecards such as MEDDPICC, BANT or SPICED.
- Your team sends short screen recordings, like a demo walkthrough, instead of booking another meeting, and keeps them in channels and folders.
Why service owners look for alternatives
Claap feeds a sales setup that already exists. In a small service business, the person on the call often also writes the quote, plans the work and sends the invoice:
- A recorder still needs a CRM. Claap fills HubSpot or Salesforce, so you pay for both, and quotes, projects and invoices sit in a third tool.
- Clients call too. Plenty of customers pick up the phone instead of booking a video call. In Claap, phone calls come in through a dialer such as Aircall or Ringover, one more tool to pay for.
- A summary is not the follow-up. "Send the revised quote Thursday" still has to become a task, then a quote, a job and an invoice.
- A license per person. Paid plans are priced per license, so each new teammate adds to the bill.

What Alori replaces, and what it does not
What Alori does today:
- Brings your Claap library over. In Import data, click Import on Claap, paste a Claap API key and click Import meetings. Each recording comes into Meetings on its date with its video, guests and transcript, and lands on the customer whose email was a guest. Alori writes its own summary and next steps. See the Claap import.
- Records Meet and Zoom calls with no bot. Add Alori Recorder to Chrome and connect it once. Join the call on the web and click Share when Chrome asks. When you hang up, the call lands in Meetings, linked to the customer when it matches a booking or a calendar event, and the notes follow a few minutes later.
- Records your other meetings. Hold the call in Alori video with Record on: guests join in the browser, without an account, and are told it is recorded before they come in. Meeting in person? Tap Record meeting on your phone, then Stop and get notes. See the Meetings app.
- Turns notes into work. Click Create the task beside a next step, or create them all at once. Write the follow-up drafts the email to the client and sends it only when you say yes. See meeting notes to tasks.
- Finds what was said. Search the transcript for a word, or ask under Ask about this meeting: "What did the client agree to?". Ask Alori looks across all your past meetings too.
- Shares on your terms. Each meeting starts as Only you. Share it with the team, or type a client's email: they get a link to the summary, the recording and the transcript, never your team's notes, and need no account.
- Coaches your sellers. Turn on Leo, the sales coach, in Bots. He scores each recorded sales call out of 10 and gives the seller the words to say next time. Once he's on, he also reviews the Claap meetings you imported from the last 30 days.
- Records your business line. With Record calls on, calls on your business number land on the customer with a recording, a transcript and a summary. See calls.
What Alori does not do:
- It does not record Microsoft Teams calls, or desktop apps such as Zoom's. The recorder works in Chrome, on Google Meet and Zoom's web version. For other calls, import the recording (.mp4, .m4a) or the transcript (.vtt, .srt, .txt, .docx) afterwards, up to 8 hours.
- It has no screen recorder for video messages, and no comments on a moment of a video.
- It does not sort videos into channels or folders, and it does not cut clips.
- It does not fill HubSpot or Salesforce. The notes stay in Alori, beside the customer and the deal.
- Its transcripts are in English or French; Claap lists 99+ languages.
- If your sales team lives in HubSpot or Salesforce and sends screen recordings every day, Claap is the better fit.
How to switch
- Set up Alori. Describe your business and how you meet clients. Alori builds your app with customers, deals and Meetings.
- Bring your customers first. Paste a list into Ask Alori, or use the guided HubSpot move. Claap meetings land on the customer whose email was a guest, so add the customers before the meetings.
- Import from Claap. In Import data, click Import on Claap, then Open Claap and Create API key. Copy the key, paste it in API key and click Import meetings. Only an Admin or Owner of your Claap workspace can make a key, and private recordings need Full access.
- Record new calls in Alori. Add Alori Recorder to Chrome, or send an Alori video link. Keep Claap until every video has arrived: the import page counts the ones still on their way. Click Import again later to bring anything recorded since.

Questions
Another question? Ask it when you start.
Yes, if you run a small service business and want each call recorded, summarized and filed on the customer and the deal, in the same app as your quotes, schedule and invoices. If your team records Teams calls, works in HubSpot or Salesforce, or sends screen recordings every day, Claap fits better.
Yes. Each recording comes with its video, guests and transcript, and the video is stored in Alori, so it keeps playing after you leave Claap. Videos arrive a little after their meeting. Private recordings come over only if the Owner of your Claap workspace gives the key Full access.
No. Alori reads each transcript and writes its own summary and next steps, like for a meeting it recorded. Import again later and only the meetings recorded since come over, so nothing arrives twice.
No. Alori Recorder works in Chrome on Google Meet and Zoom's web version. For a Teams call, download the recording or the transcript, then in Meetings click ⋯ › Import. Alori writes the same notes.
Yes. Turn on Leo, the sales coach, in Bots. He reviews each recorded sales call, scores it out of 10 and shows a scorecard with what to say instead. Each seller sees only reviews of their own calls; you and your admins see the whole team.
Transcripts, notes and stored videos use credits from your Alori balance, and every plan has unlimited users. See pricing. There is a free plan, no card needed.
