Aircall alternatives: a business phone that knows the customer
Short answer: If you are looking at Aircall alternatives, ask what happens after the call. Aircall is a cloud phone system built for sales and support teams, with desktop and mobile apps, call center tools, analytics and a large integration catalog. Alori is the all-in-one app for service businesses: its phone system rings your team, records calls, writes out voicemails and summaries, and puts each call on the customer's file, next to their quotes, jobs and invoices. Your Aircall setup and call history come over with an import.
Who Aircall fits well
Aircall is a strong fit when:
- A sales or support team spends the day on the phone and needs call center tools such as a power dialer, live monitoring and wallboards.
- You need native desktop and mobile phone apps, and numbers in many countries.
- Your CRM and help desk already live in other tools, and Aircall connects to them.
For phone-heavy teams with a CRM elsewhere, Aircall is built for the work.
Why service owners look for alternatives
A service business takes calls too, but every call leads to work:
- The call lives in one tool, the customer in another. After "Can you come Thursday?", someone opens the schedule and the CRM to write it down.
- Texts are a separate habit. Customers text the office, and the reply often comes from someone's cell.
- Another seat per person. Phone tools are priced per user, so only the office gets a line.
- Glue between tools. Every integration is one more thing to set up and keep working.

What Alori replaces, and what it does not
For a service business, Alori replaces the phone system and the tools it connects to:
- Your business number. A local Canadian or US number, or keep the one you have: move it to Alori and customers keep calling the same number.
- How calls work. A greeting, a phone menu, business hours with holidays, ring groups that ring all at once or one after another, hold music, and voicemail. Record your own greetings or let Alori read your words.
- Calls on the customer. Call from the customer's page in your browser, and the customer sees your business number. Each call lands on their file with its recording, transcript and summary.
- Voicemail written out. Read it in Alori, or get it by email with the caller, the transcript and a summary.
- Texts in the same thread. Texts from your business number land in Conversations, one thread per customer, with calls and emails in order.
- Ring your cell too. Add your cell, or a teammate's, so calls ring away from the computer.
- A sales coach. Leo reviews recorded sales calls, scores them and tells each seller what to change.
- The work behind the call: customers, quotes, schedule, jobs and invoices, and Ask Alori to answer "any missed calls today?".
What it does not replace: Aircall's native desktop and mobile phone apps, numbers outside Canada and the US, and call center tools such as a power dialer, live monitoring and wallboards. Extra numbers in Alori take calls only; texts stay on your main business number. If you run a call center, Aircall is likely the better fit.
How to switch
- Describe your business. Alori builds the app with customers, Conversations and calls.
- Connect Aircall. In Import data, click Import on Aircall and paste your API ID and token. Alori only reads Aircall.
- Bring your phone setup. Alori rebuilds your numbers, greetings, voicemail, ring groups and phone menu as call flows. Confirm your hours, then click Turn it on.
- Bring your calls and numbers. Each Aircall call lands on its customer's file with its recording and transcript. Then move your Aircall numbers: numbers already on Twilio are moved by Alori's team. Keep Aircall until the move shows Done.

Questions
Another question? Ask it when you start.
Yes for service businesses that want calls, texts and voicemail on the customer's file, next to quotes and jobs. For call centers that need a power dialer, live monitoring and native phone apps, Aircall fits better.
Yes. Each call comes over with its recording and the teammate who took it. Transcripts come from Aircall with its AI Assist add-on; without it, Alori writes them for your last 30 days of calls, and can transcribe older ones for credits.
Yes. Move them in Phone system › Numbers. Your Aircall setup runs on your Alori number right away, so nothing waits on the move. Moved numbers take calls; texts go out from your Alori business number.
