A follow-up when a quote gets no answer
A signed quote stays as signed.
The customer reads every line, types their name and signs. Change the quote afterwards and the old link can't accept it: you send the new version.
- The quote shows who signed, when and the signature.
- A note lands on the customer's record, and you get an email.
- Said yes by phone? Click Mark accepted.
New hires sign in the app.
Upload a contract or a policy on the employee's file and click Ask to sign. They see it under To sign, read it and sign with their finger.
- Their file shows Signed by with the date.
- A signed contract ticks that step of their First day list.
- Ask Alori: "Send Marc his contract to sign."
Change it by asking.
Your app isn’t frozen on day one. Write what you need, the way you’d text it. Alori makes the change and shows you before anything goes live.
- Send Marc his contract to sign
- Which quotes are still waiting for a signature?
- Email quote 1187 to Rachel Moore
- Turn on quote follow-ups after 5 days

DocuSign alternatives: the signatures a service business needs
Short answer: If you are looking at DocuSign alternatives, count what you actually send to sign. DocuSign is a full e-signature platform: any document, any number of signers, signing order, templates, audit trails and a long list of integrations. Alori is the all-in-one app for service businesses, and it covers the two signatures most of them send: customers sign quotes online, and employees sign their contracts and policies in the app. If you sign other kinds of agreements with outside parties, keep DocuSign.
Who DocuSign fits well
DocuSign is a strong fit when:
- You send many kinds of documents to sign: leases, contracts, NDAs, forms from other companies.
- Several people sign one document, in a set order, with fields placed on the page.
- You need a certificate of completion and an audit trail for legal or regulated work.
- Signing has to plug into other systems such as a CRM, HR or document storage.
For signing as its own process, DocuSign is built for the job.
Why service owners look for alternatives
For a service business, most signatures are a "yes" to a quote or a new hire's contract:
- The quote goes out of the quoting tool to be signed. Someone exports a PDF, uploads it, places the fields and sends it again.
- A signed quote still has to become a job. After the signature, the office types the work into the schedule.
- Paying per envelope or per sender for a few signatures a week.
- New hires sign on paper because sending an e-signature for one contract feels like a chore.

What Alori replaces, and what it does not
For the signatures a service business sends most, Alori replaces the separate e-signature step:
- Quotes signed online. Every quote you email has the customer's own link. They read each line and the total, type their name, sign with a finger or mouse and click Accept and sign. It works on a phone, with nothing to install.
- You know right away. The quote turns Accepted and shows who signed, when and the signature. A note lands on the customer's record, and you get an email.
- A signed quote stays as signed. If you change the quote, the old link can't accept the new version: send it again. A link works for 60 days after you last sent it.
- Quiet quotes get a nudge. A follow-up goes out by itself when a sent quote has no answer.
- From signature to job. Accepted quotes wait to be scheduled, then become the job and the invoice.
- Employee documents. Upload a contract or a policy on someone's file and click Ask to sign. They sign in the app, and their file shows Signed by with the date. A signed contract ticks that step of their First day list.
What it does not replace: signing any document with people outside your customers and team, several signers or a signing order, fields placed on a PDF, reusable signing templates, and DocuSign's certificate of completion. If you sign leases, NDAs or regulated agreements, keep DocuSign for those.
How to switch
- Describe your business. Alori builds the app with customers, quotes, jobs and invoices.
- Set your prices. Add your services in Settings › Prices so quotes fill in fast.
- Send your next quote from Alori. The customer signs it from the email, and it is ready to schedule.
- Move new-hire paperwork. Add your team under Employees, invite them to the app, and send contracts with Ask to sign.

Questions
Another question? Ask it when you start.
Yes for service businesses whose signatures are mostly quotes and employee contracts. For anything else, such as leases, NDAs or documents with several signers, DocuSign fits better.
They open the link in the quote email, type their full name, sign in the box with a finger or mouse and click Accept and sign. The quote turns Accepted right away.
On a sent quote, click Mark accepted. It works the same as an online signature for scheduling the job.
