Zendesk Pricing in 2026: Plans, Add-ons and the Real Cost

Zendesk pricing explained: plans from $19 to $115 per agent a month, AI resolution fees and add-ons, and what a team of 3, 5 or 10 really pays a year.

7 min read

As of October 2026, Zendesk's pricing page lists four plans, each priced per agent: Support Team at $19 per agent a month, Suite Team at $55 and Suite Professional at $115, all billed annually, plus Suite Enterprise through their sales team. Billed monthly, the first three cost $25, $69 and $149. On top of the seats, AI agents are billed per automated resolution, and add-ons such as Copilot cost $50 per agent a month.

So a team of five on Suite Professional pays $6,900 a year before add-ons and AI fees. Here's what each plan includes, what comes on top, and what small teams really pay.

Zendesk plans and prices

PlanBilled annuallyBilled monthlyHighlights
Support Team$19 per agent a month$25Email ticketing, ticket routing, prebuilt dashboards, saved responses
Suite Team$55 per agent a month$69Adds AI agents, an AI knowledge base, messaging and live chat, and phone
Suite Professional$115 per agent a month$149Adds AI tools for admins and agents, skills-based routing, an IVR phone tree
Suite EnterpriseThrough salesThrough salesAdds AI triage, approval workflows, a sandbox, custom agent roles

Prices are in US dollars, from Zendesk's public pricing page in October 2026. Zendesk advertises 20% off for paying annually, and a 14-day free trial gives you access to Suite Professional.

What each plan includes

  • Support Team is ticketing for email: tickets, routing, saved responses, dashboards and customer context. Live chat and messaging aren't on this plan.
  • Suite Team is where most teams that want chat start: it adds AI agents, an AI knowledge base, messaging and live chat, and phone.
  • Suite Professional, the plan Zendesk marks as most popular, adds skills-based routing, an IVR phone tree, and more AI features for admins and agents.
  • Suite Enterprise is for large support operations that need approval workflows, a sandbox and custom roles. Its price isn't public.

The costs on top of the plan

AI agents and automated resolutions

Zendesk bills its AI agents by automated resolution: a conversation the AI agent resolves without handing it to a person. Each plan includes a few, and the rest are billed one by one:

Support TeamSuite TeamSuite Professional
Included automated resolutions5 per agent a month5 per agent a month10 per agent a month
Committed resolutions$1.50 each$1.50 each$1.50 each
Pay-as-you-go resolutions$2.00 each$2.00 each$2.00 each

The more your AI resolves, the more you pay. That's fair when each resolution saves an agent's time, but it makes the bill harder to predict.

Add-ons

Add-onPrice, billed annually
Copilot (AI help for agents, on Professional and up)$50 per agent a month
Workforce Engagement bundle$50 per agent a month
Contact Center$83 per agent a month

Some features, such as voice, the App Builder and the Action Builder, are also billed by usage beyond what your plan includes. Check what your team will actually use before you commit.

What a small team really pays

Here's what Zendesk's list prices add up to for three common setups, billed annually, before taxes and discounts:

TeamPlanSeats per yearCopilot per yearAI resolutions per year (example)Total per year
3 agentsSuite Team$1,980Not available150 a month: $2,430$4,410
5 agentsSuite Professional$6,900$3,000300 a month: $4,500$14,400
10 agentsSuite Professional$13,800$6,000600 a month: $9,000$28,800

The AI line is an example at the committed rate of $1.50, after the included resolutions. Pay as you go at $2.00 costs a third more. And every new person who answers customers adds a seat: on Suite Professional with Copilot, that's $1,980 a year per agent.

Who counts as an agent

Zendesk prices by agent: each person who works tickets needs a paid seat. Zendesk also offers light agents, who get limited access to tickets without a full seat, and you can buy more light agent seats as an add-on. Plan your seats around the people who answer customers every day, and give everyone else a lighter role.

How to keep your Zendesk bill down

  1. Pay annually once you're sure: it's about 20% cheaper.
  2. Right-size your seats. Remove agents who left, and move occasional helpers to light agent seats.
  3. Pick the plan for the features you use. If you don't need skills-based routing or an IVR, Suite Team may be enough.
  4. Commit to AI resolutions once you know your volume: $1.50 committed against $2.00 pay as you go.
  5. Write help articles for your top questions. Every question customers answer on their own is one that no agent or AI resolution has to handle.
  6. Negotiate at renewal, especially for a multi-year term or many seats.

When Zendesk is worth it

Zendesk is built for support departments. It's a strong choice when:

  • Many agents answer tickets all day, across email, chat, phone and social media.
  • You need detailed routing, triggers, workflows and service level reports.
  • Your other tools connect through its marketplace of apps.

If that's you, the per-agent price buys a lot of depth.

A different model: one app, unlimited users

Many small software companies, IT providers and agencies don't need a support department's tool. They need support to sit next to their customers, deals and invoices, without paying for each person.

Alori is the all-in-one app built that way:

  • Help desk: support email, website chat and texts in one shared inbox, tickets with a response time per priority, and saved replies. See help desk.
  • Help center in English and French, at your own address on the Business plan. See help center.
  • A support bot that answers chats and support email from your help center and hands the rest to your team. Its replies are charged in credits from your plan, with no fee per resolution.
  • Surveys after support, and Front desk numbers on how long customers wait for a person.
  • The rest of the business in the same app: customers, deals with MRR, meetings, quotes and invoices.

Every plan includes unlimited users. Alori is free to start with no card, Solo starts at $99 a month and Business at $249 a month, each with monthly credits. A typical change to your app costs about one credit. See pricing.

What Alori doesn't replace: a customer portal where people sign in to follow their requests, Zendesk's triggers and routing rules, its full service level reports and its marketplace. Moving over takes one import that brings your tickets, customers, companies, internal notes, attachments and help center. Compare the two in detail on our Zendesk alternatives page.
